The Current Doctor-population ratio in Bangladesh

Bangladesh has one registered doctor(private+government) in Bangladesh for every 1847 people. On the other hand, the country currently has one registered doctor every 1,847 people while the doctor population ratio for a government(BCS/Adhook) physician in Bangladesh is 1:6,579.

Ex Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim revealed the information in the parliament said that According to the statistics on physicians who were registered with BMDC, there are physician (both govt & private) per 1,847 people in Bangladesh.
He aslo added that The numbers of physicians who are in service under the Health Department are 22,374 against 24,028 posts in total.
He also added that, So,there is a physician working in the government health institution against 6,579 people.
According to UNB quoted Ex health minister Mr Nasim as saying that the country’s total population is 158.1 million as per the Sample Vital Registration System (SVRS)-2015

Doctor patients ratio in Bangladesh by WHO

According to World health organization (WHO),The current doctor-patient ratio in Bangladesh is only 5.26 per 10,000 population in Bangladesh, that places the Bangladesh at the 2nd position from the bottom, among the South Asian countries..
