Basic Information About MBBS Course in Bangladesh
Name of the course: Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
Basic qualifications & prerequisite for entrance in MBBS Course:(i) HSC or equivalent with Science.(Biology, Physics, Chemistry) (ii) Candidate has to secure required grade point in the SSC and HSC examinations.
Students selection procedure for MBBS course: According to decision by the proper competent authority as per merit.
Medium of MBBS Instruction: English.
Duration of Mbbs Course : MBBS course comprises of 5 Years and 1 year internship.

Common rules for MBBS professional examination in Bangladesh
University professional examination to be started from May and November.
University professional examinations will be completed within the specified time of the concerned phase
No carry on system in MBBS curriculum before passing first professional mbbs examination
After passing first professional examination students can appear for second professional mbbs examinations if all other prerequisites for second professional examination are fulfilled. In the mean time students can attend clinical ward placement,teaching learning.
To appear third professional examination students have to pass all the subjects of previous second prof examination if all other prerequisites are fulfilled. In the mean time students can attend clinical ward placement, teaching learning.
MBBS Students can also attend the classes of subjects of fourth phase to appear final professional or fourth professional examination students have to pass all the subjects of previous third professional MBBS examination if all other prerequisites are fulfilled. In the mean time students can attend clinical ward placement, teaching learning.
