At last Medical Colleges are reopened from first week of September 2021

The country’s medical and Dental colleges will be reopened in the first week of September 2021, said the Director of the Genarel of Health Service (DGHS), Professor Dr AKM Ahsan Habib.

The National Technical Advisory Committee on Covid-19 has given a positive opinion to the proposal of the Department of Health Education to reopen the medical colleges from August 21, keeping in view the Professional MBBS second year and MBBS final year students.That opinion are give in A meeting was held at 9 pm on Thursday chaired by Committee President Professor A Mohammad Sahidullah.
Later in their recommendation in this regard, it has been said that the Department of Health Education of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and has sent a letter seeking the opinion of the National Technical Advisory Committee on the introduction of 2nd year and 5th year / final year classes of MBBS / BDS courses from 21/07/2021 AD or nearby any date.
All the members of the committee discussed the matter in detail. All these students have already been given two doses of covid vaccine. Follow to health rules, initially agreed with the committee to start this two-year class.
A. All students should be trained on infection prevention and control before the start of the class.
B. One has to follow the rules of hygiene including wearing a mask properly and ensuring social distance.
C. Students in the hospital ward class must ensure proper use of safety equipment.
D. Students need to be monitored for infection.
E. Infected students should be treated / isolated and students who come in contact with them should be provided with 14 days quarantine.
