Only a handful of companies in Asia have this approval. EU GMP approval is recognized by the 28 member states of the European Union. EU GMP approval is considered a 'passport' to international markets and has a wide range of global implications.

Simin Rahman, managing director and chief executive officer (CEO) of SKF, told Prothom Alo: "There is an extreme fear of human cancer. Many people lose their ability to survive when they hear that they have cancer. But cancer does not mean the end of life. It has treatment. It is possible to prevent it with proper treatment. 'He said,' Most of the time this treatment is quite expensive. We see the treatment of a loved one leave a family destitute. That is why I have always wanted a cancer patient to get cheap and world class treatment while sitting in Bangladesh. '

SKF's Oncology Manufacturing Facility is located at Rupganj in Narayanganj. It has been approved by the European Union's GMP for both cancer injections and oral medications. This means that the company has developed production facilities and quality management at the commercial level in line with European Union standards.

This recognition is expected to enhance the efficiency of SKF oncology in exporting drugs to many more countries in the world besides the European Union and entering the international market.

Simin Rahman added, ‘SKF Oncology has always been working towards the development of cancer treatment drugs. We believe that if cancer can be treated at the right time with world-class medicine, it is certainly possible to prevent it. We are committed to providing world class cancer treatment drugs at affordable prices in the country. We have very high quality oncologists and hematologists. Besides, we are also working to bring the world's latest technology medicine for cancer treatment to Bangladesh. '
